Chrome shelving isn’t just for offices and warehouses anymore. The opposite is actually true, in fact. Many people are now realizing how excellent this special type of metal can look when used in the proper context. Smart manufacturers like Nexel, Whitmor, Metro, and Trinity, have realized this early on, perhaps sooner than others have, and because of this, they are benefiting from it. Since they got in on ground floor, they are the ones driving the look and style of these special units. They are the ones that will define in the public’s mind what they look like.
So now that you know this, you’re probably pretty excited about where you can stick these shelving units. The great part about it is that they look great anywhere that you might have tile or wood floors. No one has really developed a style that looks great on rugs or carpets, but they may in the future (unless you want to just stick one in a closet or something). Basically though, if you need extra storage space in your kitchen or pantry, then these are ideal. There are so many different ways to install them that you really can fit them in wherever you want.
Say you want to put them on the wall. That’s not a problem at all. All you have to do is use simple brackets. This is really a great floor saving option, though you probably won’t be able to fit many tiers this way. If you need 4, 5, or 6 tiers, then you better get a full tower (adjustable or not). If you want just a light carrier for some miscellaneous items, then just get a wire rack type. If you’re holding heavier stuff or are in a commercial setting, then you’ll want to think about a heavy duty storage unit, perhaps one that will fit in a corner. Don’t forget about the bathroom, either, as that is a great place for any type of chrome shelving system. Just keep it away from glass, as there could be an accident.
